Something blocks the connection from sending further data The Play command is sent and the connection is kept open The Setup command is sent and the connection is kept open Out of the box the following is happening I have not yet checked to see if options is going over the wireįrom looking into this further I have found the following is happening Looks like when the session is being kept alive some event / property is not set. Tvherror("rtsp", "%s : Sending command %s rtsp://%s%s%s", hc->hc_rtsp_session, http_cmd2str(cmd), hc->hc_host, buf2, path ? path : "/") Īnd it is now sending the options request but it is absolutely spanking it out and then it is still stopping streaming. I have added some additional logging here aswell to get an idea of whats going on Http_arg_set(hdr, "Session", hc->hc_rtsp_session) Http_arg_set(hdr, "Connection", "close") The Elgato Netstream 4sat expects there to be a Connection: close and this is also in all of the Sat > IP Documentation example requests The 4sat will keep the http connection open and tvheadends http/rstp que thingy will not send any further requests to the 4sat.
The rtsp_send function does not send the Connection: close header. Looking into this further I have found the following so far from stepping through When I traced the traffic between TVHeadend and the GSS.box then I did see that the MPEG TS traffic started after the Response 200 arrived for the PLAY command. Some time ago I also had the GSS.box here. Maybe TVHeadend waits for the reply of the PLAY command and starts listening for RTP, RTCP and the MPEG TS stream after this and then misses the beginning of it. This seems to be initiating the tansfer of the MPED TS stream.
There is also a single RTP message comng from the 4sat before the Response 200 arrived for the PLAY command. It doesn't even go over to the next channel scan as the tuner seems to be marked as in use. To me this looks like TVHeadend is waiting for something. The 4sat then expires the session after the timeout of 60 seconds. The 4sat then keeps sending RTCP Report messages to TVHeadend, but TVHeadend never sends any messages to the 4sat again. But however the 4sat starts sending before the PLAY command is being acknowledged.
TVHeadend calls rtsp SETUP then PLAY and the 4sat then starts sending MPEG TS packages. I did a trace with Wireshark and there I can see that the communication looks just fine at first.
